Blackrock Strategy (BrS) is pleased to offer the following benefits.

The following 11 Federal holidays are observed on a paid basis for all BrS fulltime employees from your date of hire:

PAID TIME OFF (PTO)

BrS provides, as a benefit, paid vacations for all eligible employees, and is extremely flexible in approving time off when doing so would not interfere with mission requirements. BrS requests that employees provide notification to their customer and supervisor as soon as practical when taking PTO. A regular employee begins accruing PTO when first reporting for duty to their customer. Full-time employees will accrue 5.66 hours of PTO for every full pay period worked, up to a maximum accrual of 136 hours per calendar year. Any remaining accrued PTO may be accumulated or carried forward into the next year but cannot exceed 140 hours of carryover. PTO benefits do not accrue during any period of extended leave of absence. PTO in excess of 140 hours on 31 December of each year will be paid out.

 

WORKERS’ COMPENSATION

As required by law, BrS provides workers’ compensation benefits for the protection of employees with work-related injuries or illnesses. Report every illness or injury to a supervisor, regardless of how minor it appears. BrS will advise the employee of the procedure for submitting a workers’ compensation claim. A separate insurance company administers the BrS worker’s compensation insurance. Representatives of this company may contact injured employees regarding their benefits under the plan. RETIREMENT PLAN

BrS participates in a 401(k) plan so that employees may save a portion of their earnings for retirement. Employees who work at least forty (40) hours per week and completed 90 days of employment are eligible to participate. Employees may elect to make regular contributions to the 401(k) plan up to the maximum amount allowed by federal law. BrS provides for employee pre-tax deferral contributions and after-tax Roth contributions and provides for employer matching funds up to 4%. Contact HR for more information.

 

MEDICAL INSURANCE

BrS covers 100% of health, vision, and dental insurance premium benefits for their eligible full-time employees on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. A spouse and dependent(s) can be added on all plans, at the employee’s expense. Contact HR for pricing and implementation.

 

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT

Blackrock Strategy offers full-time employees the opportunity for continuing education through an accredited program that either offers growth in an area related to his or her current position or that may lead to promotional opportunities. This education may include college credit courses, continuing education unit courses, seminars and certification tests that are job-related. Employees will need to apply and be approved by employers. AFLAC

BrS covers 100% of the cost of life insurance through Aflac to all employees and it is $50k of coverage on a 20-year term policy. In addition, Aflac provides supplemental insurance at the employees expense to help pay out-of-pocket expenses. Supplemental out-of-pocket benefits include:

  • Dental

  • Vision

  • Short-Term Disability

  • Etc.

PART-TIME EMPLOYEE BENEFITS SUMMARY
